CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
We are now accepting abstracts for this year's Arizona Hydrologic Society Annual Symposium. The Symposium theme this year is "Dryland Hydrology: Global Challenges, Local Solutions", and will feature contributions on a broad spectrum of topics, unified by the shared goal of understanding and managing water resources in dryland settings: in Arizona, the Southwestern US, and around the world. This year's symposium will be held at the beautiful Westin La Paloma in Tucson.
We are seeking abstracts in the following categories:
Transboundary Aquifer Assessment, Management, and Policy
Technical Advances in Groundwater Modeling
The Role of NGOs in Water Resource Management
Colorado River Management
Drylands Ecology and Ecosystems Services
Governmental Responses to Changing Hydrologic Conditions
Technical Advances in Groundwater Remediation
Water Issues in the Mining Industry
Water Infrastructure (treatment, delivery, recharge, recycling, stormwater management, harvesting)
Hydrological Implications of Uranium Development
Hydrophilanthropy
International Perspectives on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)
Guidelines:
Abstract extended due date: June 11th, 2010 11:59pm PST
Margins: 1 inch margins
Font: Times New Roman 12 pt, double-spaced Word Count: 400 or less
Format: Microsoft Word doc or docx files and PFD

You may select Technical Session Presentation or Poster Presentation from the Presentation Category Options. Poster presentations do not need to join a technical session.
You may select an existing technical session, or you may propose a new session. Please continue to the submittal page to submit your abstract. To propose a new technical session, add the name of the newly proposed category on your abstract, include the name of your speakers and topics under the session. Presenters must be registered for the symposium to speak.
